FLIPPING CLASSICS, BREAKING BOUNDARIES

Born Christopher Weeden in May of 1989 and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I grew up in a musical family that greatly influenced my taste. I have a strong connection to various styles, including '80s funk, soul, rare groove, new wave, early house, and synth pop. My father, Dennis “Menace” Weeden, played a crucial role in shaping my musical education as he was integral to the P-Funk movement that emerged after the disco era and before funk. Some of my earliest memories of music involve listening to his songs featuring artists like Amp Fiddler, Bootsy Collins, and George Clinton.

I have been hosting and DJing parties in NYC for over 10 years, primarily in Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. I strive to stay true to the elements of dance music from the '70s to the current state of house and nu-disco, while also exploring emerging forms of house music, such as afro house. Stay tuned for new rare mixes and original tracks from some of my friends here in NYC.
